39 weeks and counting

Yet, another doctor's appt. today. Lisa is dilated to "a tight 2", but up to 80% effaced. The doctor says that all is still looking good. He is thinking Alex is looking like 7 3/4 lbs. which would be 7 lbs 12 oz. Lisa has gained a total of 15 lbs herself. So, we are just hanging out waiting for him to enter the world. We see the doctor again next Wednesday, on the due date, and they will decide then "how long to let Lisa go". We of course, are not hoping to see the doctor in the office on Wednesday because we hope that Alex will be in our arms and maybe even at home. But only time will tell. Check back next week for more info.

  1. I can't believe how much bigger Alex is looking from the outside. I just wish I could be with all of you to be able to rub Lisa's belly, and let Alex know that I am out here waiting for him to join us. I am getting so nervous because I don't know where I am going to be when I get the phone call. I just hope I will be able to leave if I am at a mobile and that I will get there in time. You both better wait for me! I'm not sure what I am going to say - I guess the truth is always the best, so I will cross that bridge when I have to. Doug is not sure if he will come or not, but he did mention it to the lady in HR, and she agreed that he did need to go when the baby comes. Too much to anticipate for now, so I will just "Let go and let God". It has always worked in the past. Love and kisses to all of you.

  2. Wow, only 15 lbs, that's great! I gained 40, and Natalie was 5 weeks early! :) He'll be here before you know it. Hang in there! You look soooooo cute!
